HAMLET is the story of a Danish prince who returns to his kingdom to find his father dead, and his mother remarried in haste to his father's brother. An encounter with his father's ghost convinces Hamlet that murder and treachery were responsible, and he sets about purposefully yet indecisively to avenge his father. He is thought mad by those around him, and indeed perhaps descends somewhat into madness as the dreadful climax approaches....
